Prestige Birdseye Maple

Birdseye Maple is one the most unique domestic hardwoods available. Many craftsmen and designers consider it an exotic. The characteristic bird's eye markings have made this species a sought after treasure for furniture and flooring for centuries.

Birdseye Maple has limited availability. Extra time should be allocated if considering one of these floors...but they're worth it.

Birdseye Maple is 12% harder then Red Oak.

Prestige Cherry

North American Cherry has long fascinated woodworkers with its beautiful silky texture and close smooth grain. When first installed as flooring it shows pastel shades of pink and amber and with time turns to rich auburn shades. Heartwood is light to dark reddish brown while sapwood is light brown to a light pinkish tone. American Cherry 26% softer then Red Oak and 17% more stable then Red Oak.

Prestige Purple Heart

Prestige Purple Heart is sure to make an impression wherever it's installed. Guests will remember the stunning color and clear shimmering grain. The South American Purple Heart used by Rehmeyer Floors only comes from lumber mills practicing responsible harvesting and reforestation methods.

Prestige White Oak

White Oak has been a choice building wood since colonial times, especially for floors. It's history and natural elegance make it perfect for restorations or new construction. The heartwood ranges from light to dark brown while the sapwood is a creamy white color. White Oak is 5% harder then Red Oak and 1% more stable then Red Oak.

Prestige Walnut

Prestige Black Walnut is first class all the way. Although the grain is free of anything too burly, there's still a wealth of character. The rich blends of light and dark brown are simply gorgeous and they only get deeper and richer with time.

Black Walnut is 22% softer then Red Oak and 9% more stable then Red Oak.

Prestige Ash Hardwood Flooring - Natural Water-based Finish

Prestige Ash

Prestige Ash looks beautiful with just about any finish. The grain says it all. Shown here are floors with natural water-based and natural oil-based finishes. Prestige Grade Ash is also often used in our Extreme Custom Collection (Be sure to browse that Collection to see more gorgeous ash floors).

Non-endangered sustainably grown Mahogany Hardwood Flooring

Prestige Mahogany

Prestige Mahogany is another Rehmeyer Favorite. Mahogany has a relatively straight grain and is virtually free of defects. It varies in color from reddish-brown to golded-brown and darkens over time. When polished Mahogany displays an attractive reddish sheen. It is a very durable wood.

Rehmeyer Floors only uses varieties of Mahogany that are not endangered. All woods used by Rehmeyer Floors are responsibly harvested.
